A woman’s life has been cut short in a tragic car crash in Granville. In addition, a second individual has suffered injuries in the crash. The fatal accident took place on a recent Wednesday evening.
Events leading up to the collision
The tragic wreck took place at about 4:15 p.m. along Route 22. According to authorities, a 38-year-old female driver left a driveway and entered the highway. However, the woman reportedly failed to yield to a car that was driving north on the street.
Police said the second car ended up striking the female driver’s car. The woman was transported to a medical center with injuries following the collision but was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. Meanwhile, the individual driving the second car suffered injuries considered not to be life-threatening. Police continued to investigate the cause of the accident.
