Two individuals died in a New York car crash when their car struck another motor vehicle. In addition, three other people were injured in the collision. The car wreck took place at a street intersection during the early morning hours on a recent Saturday.

How the motor vehicle accident happened

The New York car collision took place a little past 4 a.m. Authorities said a 23-year-old individual was driving a car. The car then struck another car before crashing into a subway column in the Bronx.

The first car’s driver and a 20-year-old passenger passed away at the crash scene. Meanwhile, the second car’s 36-year-old driver and two 26- and 27-year-old passengers suffered injuries in the crash. They were taken to the hospital, where their conditions were deemed stable. The cause of the car wreck was not immediately known.

Legal recourse available following the accident

The surviving loved ones of the first car’s passenger may decide to file a wrongful death claim, seeking the reimbursement of financial damages sustained due to the New York car collision. Likewise, the three injured parties from the second car may choose to file personal injury claims. Even though the first car’s driver — the party allegedly responsible for the collision — passed away in the crash, this individual’s estate may still be sued, and so can anyone else with an ownership interest in the first car. Successfully fought claims may result in monetary damages to cover any burial expenses or hospital bills associated with the fatal car accident.
