Cyclist killed in Queens truck accident

According to witnesses, the truck was turning right when it struck the cyclist riding in the protected bike lane on 43rd Avenue. The cyclist unfortunately died at the scene.

A report from Transport Alternatives said the unnamed victim was the 14th cyclist killed by a driver so far in New York City and the third in Queens. Five of those 14 victims died due to truck accidents.
