New York crash: 2 killed, 2 injured in the Bronx

Two people died in a recent New York City accident the car they were riding in crashed into a red truck. Two other individuals suffered injuries in the crash. The Bronx collision took place early in the morning on a recent Sunday. 

Events leading up to the New York crash 

The New York accident took place at about 3:28 a.m. near the intersection of Bryant and Viele Avenues. According to police, a 24-year-old man driving a white Chrysler 300 crashed into a parked truck. A 21-year-old man and two women were passengers in the Chrysler. 

Authorities said the male passenger and one of the female passengers suffered injuries and were taken to a medical center but ended up passing away from their injuries. The second female passenger was also hurt in the accident but survived the crash, as did the driver. The driver and second female passenger were hospitalized following the collision. No arrests were immediately made in connection with the fatal accident, which police continued to investigate. 

Legal recourse available following the accident 

The surviving loved ones of the two deceased passengers may choose to file wrongful death claims against the driver believed to have caused the New York accident, seeking the reimbursement of monetary damages sustained as a result of the accident. Likewise, the injured passenger may choose to file a personal injury claim against him, seeking damages. Successfully litigated claims may lead to monetary damage awards to cover any accident-related losses, such as funeral costs and hospital expenses.
